About
Mark Albon
Mark is the founder of Themis Consulting and has more than 30 years of diplomatic, multilateral, private sector and international organisations experience in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Before moving into consulting, he was a member of the leadership team at the OPCW when the organisation won the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2013, and he has lead capacity building and implementation programmes in more than 100 states across the globe.
He established & led, the UN Investigations team into the alleged use of Chemical Weapons in Syria, and the Commonwealth Secretariat’s programme to Counter Violent Extremism in the Caribbean, Africa and Asia-Pacific, and played pivotal roles in reaching consensus in a range of multilateral negotiations at the UN, the OPCW and the Commonwealth.
Mark served as a Non-Executive Director at EcoSeek Foundation in the Netherlands, from 2015-2019.

He holds an MBA in Strategic Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance, a Diploma in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, is an APMG Certified Change Management Practitioner and is a non-resident fellow at the Stimson Center in Washington DC.
